Summer Song

Summer Song, is a renowned Operatic Singer, and she is a current voice professor at Houston Christian university (Formally Houston Baptist University, HBU). Prior to joining HCU in 2017, Ms. Song taught voice and music classes at Texas Southern University (TSU) for 5 years. In summer of 2022, she was accepted as a Vocal Pedagogy Artist by Aspen Music Festival Opera Theater and Vocal Arts Summit where she was taught by Renee Flaming, the super Opera Star. Ms. Song was a summer opera Studio Artist of L’Arte Del Bel Canto in Milan, Italy from 2012 to 2017 soon after she received her Master of Music degree in vocal performance at Washington State University in 2006.

Ms. Song is an active performer in the United States, Europe as well as Asia. Her very recent performances include a leading role in the musical production “Greatest Love of All” and a collaborative concert with Houston Symphony musicians. She has been a featured soloist associated with a variety of organizations throughout the United States, England, Singapore, Italy, China, and others. She has been serving as numerous judges in the major voice competitions in USA.

Ms. Song has her voice students become acclaimed professional Opera singers nowadays while some are winners in both nationwide and International wide singing competitions. Many of Ms. Song’s students have also been accepted for both Master’s and Bachelor’s music programs, such as New England Music Conservatory, Berklee College of Music, Peabody Conservatory of Music, San Francisco Conservatory of Music, Yale University, Stanford University, Harvard University, and so on.
